CLASS OF 2021  – APPLY FOR SCHOLARSHIPS NOW!

We are excited to offer several scholarships for Osbourn High School Class of 2021 seniors. We encourage you to apply! Below is the general criteria for each scholarship and links to the applications. Applications are due via email, hand delivery or mail no later than 11:59 pm on April 7, 2021. 

Apple Future Teacher Scholarship – $2,000 (sponsored by the former Apple Federal Credit Union Foundation)

      • Must be a graduating senior from Manassas City Public Schools
      • Attend a four-year college (or a two-year college with a plan to enroll in a four-year college) to pursue a teaching certificate with intent to be a classroom teacher
      • Applicant’s future employment would reduce inequities in the diversity of the teacher workforce
      • Participate in community, employment or school activities
      • Must submit a recommendation from one teacher
      • Submit an essay (up to 500 words) on what led you to pursue a career as a classroom teacher

CTE Scholarship – $2,000 (sponsored by Micron)

      • Must be a graduating senior from Manassas City Public Schools
      • Enroll in a technical school or community college
      • Participate in community, employment or school activities
      • Must submit a recommendation from one teacher or employer
      • Submit an essay (up to 500 words) on why pursuing this career path

Mays Family CTE Scholarship – $1,000 (sponsored by the Mays Family)

      • Must be a graduating senior from Manassas City Public Schools
      • Enroll in a technical school or community college
      • Participate in community, employment or school activities
      • Must submit a recommendation from one teacher or employer
      • Submit an essay (up to 500 words) about career aspirations
      • No GPA or class rank required.

Fine Arts Scholarship – $2,000 (sponsored by Imagine Design)

      • Must be a graduating senior from Manassas City Public Schools
      • Plan to pursue a degree in an artistic field (Theater, Music, Art, Dance, etc)
      • Attend a four-year college
      • Participate in community, employment or school activities
      • Must submit a recommendation from one teacher, arts community representative or employer
      • Submit an essay (up to 500 words) about the importance of the arts and why pursuing this field of study
      • Submit an image or recording of visual or performing art (optional)

Delegate Harry J. Parrish Community Service Scholarship – $2,000 (sponsored by the Parrish family)

      • Must be a graduating senior from Manassas City Public Schools
      • Attend a four-year college
      • Participate in community and school activities during high school
      • Must have held a leadership position in two or more different organizations while in high school
      • Must submit recommendations from one teacher and one community service representative
      • Submit an essay (up to 500 words) on the importance of community service

Micron STEM Scholarships -$ 2,000 (sponsored by Micron)

      • Must be a graduating senior from Manassas City Public Schools
      • Attend a four-year college (or a two-year college with a plan to enroll in a four-year college) to pursue a degree in the field of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM)
      • Participate in community, employment or school activities
      • Must submit a recommendation from one teacher or employer
      • Submit an essay (up to 500 words) about the importance of STEM and why pursuing this field of study

Lockheed Martin Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math Scholarship -$ 1,500 (sponsored by Lockheed Martin)

      • Must be a graduating senior from Manassas City Public Schools
      • Attend a four-year college (or a two-year college with a plan to enroll in a four-year college) to pursue a degree in the field of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM)
      • Participate in community, employment or school activities
      • Must submit a recommendation from one teacher or employer
      • Submit an essay (up to 500 words) about the importance of STEM and why pursuing this field of study
      • Recipient will also be eligible to apply for a Lockheed Martin paid internship opportunity
