MCPS recognizes the need to increase apprenticeships, improve youth employment, increase business engagement and take Career and Technical Education (CTE) to the next level by responding to business needs through targeted instruction of students, program design, and vision for the future. CTE embraces quality instructional partnerships with business and industry to successfully prepare students for the challenges of post-secondary education and a globally competitive workplace. Teachers and Administration within each school and overall division identify areas for support according to the needs of the student body in order to maximize student achievement. Sponsored by local businesses, grants are awarded annually to classroom teachers to develop programs across all curriculum areas:
- Arts and Humanities
- Business and Finance
- STEM and Technology
- Health & Human Services

- Delegate Harry J. Parrish Community Service Scholarship $2,000
