Our programs have grown over the years, and its only due to the help from local volunteers. From behind-the-scenes planning to day-of feet on the ground, there are always opportunities to offer your skills to the Foundation.
The MCPS Education Foundation Events Committee facilitates three events annually – ‘Convocation’ in August, ‘Stand Strong 4 Education’ in February, and ‘Night of Excellence’ in May. To get involved, contact Chantel Clayborn or Marci Settle, co-chairs of the Committee.
All programs and events are made possible through the work of our Fundraising Committee. Meeting monthly, the committee determines the campaigns that are carried out to raise funds for scholarships and grants, organize sponsorship levels, and many other projects. To get involved, contact Elizabeth Via-Gossman, Committee chair.
The Marketing Committee works to publicize upcoming programs and activities and generally works in a variety of ways to raise community knowledge about the scope and impact of our programs. The Marketing Committee meets monthly, and is supported by the volunteer contributions of a number of professionals and community members. To get involved, contact Ramunda Young or Patrick King, co-chairs of the Committee.
The Programs Committee manages and governs many aspects of the Foundation’s grants and scholarship programs, overseeing how we choose to invest in the programs for our students and bring to life those great ideas put forth by our dedicated teachers.
